Vancouver, B.C. – Centre Distribution is pleased to announce that it has acquired the I/S Eyewear brand and will be taking over all aspects of the brand including production, distribution, and sales both within Canada and Internationally.

I/S Eyewear has been a rider-owned and operated brand based of North Vancouver, British Columbia since 1997. The brand was started by a group of top snowboarders which included Devun Walsh, Mikey Leblanc, Kale Stephens, and JF Plachat. The plan was to create the first snowboard-specific goggle that had the ability to withstand the harsh conditions of the Canadian Pacific Northwest. With the release of the snowboard video “Lil’ Bastards”, now a cult classic snowboard movie, the brand was solidified as snowboarding’s goggle brand and exposed to snowboarders around the world.

From its inception as a goggle company, I/S Eyewear has expanded its product offering to include a year-round selection of sunglasses that offer the same level of technology and quality as the I/S Snowboard goggle. With premium construction including lightweight injected frames for strength and comfort, as well as an array of lens options, I/S Eyewear has become known in the industry for offering high-quality sunglasses. Top Canadian skateboarders such as Russ Milligan, Paul Machnau, and Chad Dickson have been supported by the I/S Eyewear sunglass line.

With a strong heritage steeped in solid Canadian roots, I/S Eyewear is an iconic eyewear brand both within Canada and abroad. Centre Distribution is very excited to be involved in the future of the I/S brand.
