The Herschel Supply Company


Founded in 2009 by brothers Jamie and Lyndon Cormack, Herschel Supply Co. adopted the name of the small town where three generations of their family were raised. Herschel Supply Co. is based in Vancouver, Canada and manufactures the finest quality backpacks, bags, travel goods and accessories. As a globally recognized lifestyle brand, our goal is to create timeless product with a fine regard for detail.



The copywriter will coordinate production of cross channel marketing content, producing written and visual stories for the Herschel Supply blog, social media, press, catalogue, email marketing campaigns and other projects as needed. Equip with the strategic responsibility to create awareness and engagement for Herschel Supply, the copywriter will thrive inside a combination of branded content, community engagement and marketing initiatives.



  • Partner with marketing and product team to help conceptualize and write various forms of communications for integrated campaigns across a wide variety of platforms, including: Print, Web, Branded Content, Point of Purchase Material
  • Work with marketing and product teams to conceptualize, write and produce daily lifestyle and product focused content that conveys the identity and brand voice of Herschel Supply
  • Work closely with the marketing and product teams to find key stories within the company to bring to life
  • Help develop and manage global community by creating content strategies across social profiles, newsletters and
  • Help produce daily content stories for social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram and Tumblr
  • Help coordinate lifestyle and product photography and video production for retail, press, website, social media and blog
  • Help develop and create content for Herschel Supply’s bi-annual publication, ‘The Journal’
  • Write accurate, on-brand product descriptions for our product catalogue and ecommerce store
  • Deliver copy as required by the marketing department for brand and product messaging
  • Maintain deadlines and negotiate alternative plans as needed



  • Minimum of 3 years copywriting experience working in a fast-paced environment, with a focus editing, writing and daily programming across various platforms
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Communications or Public Relations
  • Strong and creative writing skills, with demonstrated experience writing, editing and producing lifestyle content for an online property
  • Deep familiarity with producing content for social networks and catalogues
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, team-oriented
  • Ability to work with a wide range of internal departments
  • Hands on attitude to tasks, ability to take initiative and be self motivated
  • A compelling desire to deliver innovative and exceptional content to our audience
  • Knowledge of project and task management
  • An appreciation of the importance of the creative process
  • An eye for style and interest in fashion and design
