Pro Skates first opened their doors back in the winter of 1986, giving Halifax’s skaters and snowboarders a place to call their own.  From their heavy involvement in local events to weekly summer girls skate sessions, it’s no wonder why they’re still going strong.  Last fall, owner Jon Swinamer and his staff relocated the shop to 6451 Quinpool Road, just two doors down from where it all began.

“It’s an amazing space and we’re settling in nicely.” Swinamer says.  “The skate bar is of course our favourite spot, with a functional tap in place.”

If you find yourself in Halifax any time soon be sure to stop by for a visit.  You might even find hometown heres Sarah Conrad and Trevor Andrew hanging out or comedian Carrot Top searching for new shoes.
