With the exciting transition of Bobby Gascon moving from his role from Canadian Marketing Manager to Global Action Sports Marketing director located in the California, Vans has announced Gasocn’s replacement. Former Pro Snowboarder and successful Quebec sales rep, Auchu will fill the role of Canadian Marketing Manager.

Auchu, previously in charge of sales for Capita Snowboards, Union bindings, Coal Headwear and Herschel Supply, will move into his new role based in the Montreal VF office for spring 2014.

 

 

Vans Welcomes Alex Auchu As Vans Canada Marketing Manager and Bobby Gascon As Global Action Sports Marketing Director

Montreal, May 29th 2014 – Vans Canada is proud to welcome Alex Auchu as it’s new Marketing Manager following Bobby Gascon’s transition as the Global Director of Action Sports Marketing based in the US office in Cypress, Ca.

In his new role, Bobby will be working alongside the action sports marketing and athlete teams at Vans to drive go-to-market plans and overall category marketing and athlete strategies for global adoption. After five years as the Marketing Manager for the Canada region, where he implemented and managed all of Vans Canada’s marketing properties following the VF (Vans) transition in 2009, Bobby is happy to relocate to Southern California to take on new challenges.

In tune, Alex will bring to the Vans team his many years of experience as the manager of his own sales agency, previously responsible for the commercialization and activation in the eastern, Canadian market of successful brands including Capita, Union, Coal, and, more recently, Herschel. Alex will also be bringing in his experience as a pro snowboarder who appeared on the cover of Transworld Snowboarding’s November 2001 issue and later mentoring young riders with professional aspirations all to serve in his new role as Marketing Manager for Canada.
