VF Corp, parent company to Vans has just released its 2013 Q1 results. Revenue rose to $2.6 billion driven by strength in the action sports and outdoor brands.

Vans momentum continued in the first quarter with a 25% increase in revenues including over 20% growth in the Americas and Asia regions, and more than a 30% increase in Europe. The Vans® brand posted strong double-digit revenue increases in both its wholesale and direct-to-consumer channels.

Direct-to-consumer revenues increased 18%

        VF Corp’s first quarter Outdoor & Action Sports operating income rose 12 percent to $227 million and operating margin increased 40 basis points to 16.4 percent compared with 16 percent in the 2012 period.

Along with Vans VF Corp also owns The North Face, Reef, Wrangler, Timberland, Nautica, Lee, Jansport and many others.

Their revenue guidance for 2013 remains unchanged, with revenues expected to rise by 6 percent to $11.5 billion.
